West Woodbridge Industrial Area is an employment or industrial area within Vaughan, with commercial and workplace uses playing a larger role than conventional residential development. The area is oriented more toward employment, industrial, office, logistics or commercial activity than toward conventional residential living. Housing may be limited or concentrated around the edges, while highway access, arterial roads, workplaces and large-format services typically matter more to the area's function. Vaughan combines established communities, newer master-planned neighbourhoods, major employment areas, highway access and several historic village centres that still shape local identity.
